Episode Summary:
In the premiere episode of Season 2 of "House of the Dragon," Rhaenyra Targaryen grapples with the aftermath of her son's murder. The episode opens with Rhaenyra receiving the news of her son Lucerys' death at the hands of Aemond Targaryen. Overwhelmed with grief and anger, Rhaenyra struggles to come to terms with her loss.
Meanwhile, King Viserys I Targaryen prepares for the upcoming war against his rival, Aegon II Targaryen. Viserys is torn between his duty as king and his desire to protect his daughter and grandchildren.
